                                    Scholarship                                                                                      

 

This scholarship has been established to honour the memory of Heather Wilbur (1976-2003) one of New Brunswick’s finest female golfers and an individual of outstanding character.   Four scholarships, each valued at $1,000.00 will be made available each year. 

Eligibility    The applicant must be of junior age and attending or planning to attend an accredited University or Community College in Canada or the US.

 

The applicant must fit into one or more of the following categories:

  1. Be a female junior golfer in the province.

  2. Be a male or female golfer in the greater Moncton area.

  3. Be an active, playing, junior member of Country Meadows Golf Club.

  4. Be a son, daughter, grand-son, grand-daughter of a CPGA Atlantic Golf Professional.  (current or retired)

Criteria Applicants will be judged in the following areas:

      1) Character.

      2) Dedication to golf.

      3) Academic standing.

Deadline for application: August 18 of the current year, 2010

Successful applicants will be notified before August 2nd. 

Please provide four pieces of documentation:

    1. High School transcript (facsimile accepted)

    2. Cover letter from you outlining your objectives for the future.  We want to know why you want to attend University, what you hope to achieve in life and why you feel this scholarship will help you. (limit of 250 words)

    3. Reference letter from golfing professional or junior co-coordinator from home course.

    4. Reference letter from responsible adult, cannot be a family member.
