Tfirst 6 holes are found by most to be demanding, tree lined with some doglegs where length and accuracy are rewarded. On the first hole, the multi teeing areas determine the length of drive to, the larger than it appears, landing area. Too tight to the right you will be faced with a chip out or over the trees to the large mounded green with water around the back.
The next 6 more spacious fairways are rolling and lined with pine trees. The more aggressive players especially, like these holes with two fairly open par 5's among them.
The final 6 again reward the more accurate shots with more water hazards coming into play if you stray. The par 5, 17th hole is remembered by all. Short par 5 for the long hitters but the island green guarded by a large tree requires an accurate approach. The closing uphill 18 is the shortest of the par 4s
